TACoS vs ACOS: the number Amazon sellers should actually manage
ACOS is useful inside a campaign. It is a poor scoreboard for the whole account. You can lower ACOS by cutting the keywords that grow organic rank, then watch total sales stall.
TACoS (ad spend divided by total sales) shows whether paid traffic is transferring into organic demand. Healthy accounts usually see TACoS compress as listings rank, even if campaign ACOS stays in a similar band.
We review both weekly, but decisions about scaling budgets are made on TACoS trend, conversion rate, and organic share — not a single ACOS target copied from a Facebook group.
If TACoS is rising while conversion is flat, the listing or offer is the constraint. More bids will not fix it.
